New employees at Eimur

Sesselja Ingibjörg Barðdal has been hired as the new general manager of Eimur: "I believe there is alot to come for innovation in North-East Iceland. Here are many opportunities for creating more value and jobs, both in the energy- and food sectors. There are opportunities to shape a powerful community of innovators with exciting ideas." says Sesselja, thrilled to take on new and exciting projects.

Before Sesselja worked as the general manager of Kaffi Kú in Eyjafjörður, where she is also the owner. Sesselja has also been a prominent figure for shaping visions for tourism in the area. Sesselja graduated with a BA degree in law from the University of Akureyri, and holds in addition an MBA degree from the University of Iceland. Earlier Sesselja acquired an apprenticeship in food service from the Hotel- and food College in Kópavogur.

At the same time Ottó Elíasson was also hired as the head of research and development at Eimur. Ottó holds a Ph.D and an M.Sc. in experimental physics from the University of Aarhus in Denmark. Before, Ottó graduated with a B.Sc. in physics from the University of Iceland.

"We must treat the earth with respect, so our children can enjoy her qualities just as we do at present. Here in North-East Iceland there are great opportunities for better utilisation of our energy resources and the material we process. Eimur will join forces with companies, schools and universities here and abroad, and with the pubilc towards the goal of a sustainable society. I look very much forward to put my powers and knowledge towards that direction". says Ottó.
