Eimur - World Geothermal Congress 2020

Eimur - World Geothermal Congress 2020

The World Geothermal congress 2020 was formally launched on the 30th March 2021 with a short online event. The congress was suppose to be held last year but was postponed to 2021 due to the pandemic. The congress runs from March 30 to October 27 and includes many interesting events both online and in person.

The first online event of the congress was held on the April 13 under the name Business and Environment. Eimur had a short errand on the event, where Ottó Elíasson, head of research and development at Eimur, discussed the role of geothermal energy in Northeast Iceland. The errand is based on a report that Gunnlaug Helga Ásgerisdóttir, summer employee at Eimur 2018, made about utilization of energy and water in Northeast Iceland.

The errand can be found here below.
